    Product Description

    Alcohol Idler Bracket Assembly DMPE 200-025-99-129 Idler pulley is not supplied with the bracket.

    DMPE's new Hemi idler assembly was built to improve belt control by reducing the ability of the idler to flex when loaded. We worked with Rob Wendland, crew chief and rep for Mitsuboshi Star Racer Blower belts, on improving what he was using on Terry McMillen's top fuel dragster. Once he was happy with that, we made an alcohol version. This version required the idler adjustment length to be moved and also the main bracket needed to accommodate the TFX gear drive bolt location and the BAE location. All mounting locations use steel inserts to combat bracket crushing, that we all dislike. This also gives the idler axle support from all sides so belt control is improved dramatically while keeping weight down to a minimum.

    This assembly is sold without the idler pulley as many racers already have these and do not need to purchase another one.
     
    Each assembly requires a mounting hardware kit to suit the block you will be mounting it to as the TFX and the BAE have slightly different features.
